2 Surgical PAs/NPs Needed in CA

Job description

1-2 Surgical Physician Assistants needed to start immediately and work ongoing.

City, State: San Francisco, CA

Weekly schedule: 4 - 10s

EMR system: ModMed (very popular with the staff and easy to use)

Patients per day surgeries: 4, and there are two PAs assisting one surgeon for most cases

Patients per day follow ups: None. Surgeons and MAs do follow-ups unless a surgeon is out of town

Call: Yes, we have an RN answering service, and PAs take a second call to answer questions the RNs cannot and to assist with afterhours emergencies along with a surgeon if the patient must go to the OR. We estimate that this happens less than 10 times per year for the entire practice.

We have very few post-op inpatients. When there are inpatients recovering from surgery for 2-3 days, the on-call PA rounds on these patients.

***Mainly upper body procedures, breast Augs, mammoplasty, lipo, mastectomy, neck lift etc. (all lower body done at the hospital)
•First assist breast, body, contouring, facial and cosmetic procedures including full dissections and multilayer closures
•Surgical clearance evaluations, education, staff training and interdepartmental task delegations
•Strictly gender confirming plastic surgery
•Rounding may be required
