Location: San Francisco, CA (Acute Care Hospital)

Schedule & Shift Details:
Shift: Day Shift (8 hours)
Schedule: Standard 5x8 or 4x8 shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Coverage: Scheduled, No Call
OT Rate: 1.4x normal rate after 8 hrs/day or 40 hrs/week
Holiday Rate: 1.5x normal rate (New Year’s, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)

Work Details:
Practice Setting: Outpatient Pre/Post Op
Support Staff: 18 FTE APPs, FU team, attending anesthesia consult, triage NP, APP supervisor
Patients per Day: Start at 5/day, increasing to 9/day
Patient Population: Primarily adults, occasional adolescent cases
Department Overview:
Handles pre-op patients for transplants, cardiac surgery, endoscopy, ORIF, cancer surgeries
High-volume clinic (170 appointments/day)
Fast-paced environment requiring strong collaboration with MDs
EMR: Epic
Required Skills: Proficient in pre-op care and optimization

Requirements:
Board Certification: A-GNP-C, ANP-C, FNP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, FNP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC
License: Active CA State License required
DEA: CA DEA with Schedule 2/2N required
Certifications: BLS required
Experience: Minimum 2 years in Pre-Op, ICU, ER, Pulmonology, or Cardiology (No Primary Care/Urgent Care backgrounds)
Credentialing Timeframe: 60 – 90 days
Interview Expectations: At least one interview required
