Aya Locums is seeking a General Surgeon to provide flexible, ongoing coverage at a healthcare facility in Arkansas. This opportunity offers a dynamic mix of acute and elective cases, a manageable call schedule, and the ability to tailor your availability within a supportive clinical environment.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: May 2026
• Contract Length: Ongoing coverage
• Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (day and night coverage)
• Shift Details: Five 24-hour shifts per assignment (7:00 AM – 6:30 AM, flexible)
• Scheduling Model: Two weeks per month plus one weekend per month
• Flexibility: Scheduling accommodations available
Work Details
• Specialty: General Surgery
• Scope of Practice: Bread-and-butter general surgery cases with acute care responsibilities
• Procedures Include:
– Gallbladder and biliary disease management
– Hernia repairs
– Upper GI evaluations, biopsies, and related treatments
– Skin and soft tissue procedures (lesions, cysts, lipomas)
– Vascular access procedures, including port placement
• Shift Coverage: Combination of daytime and overnight call responsibilities
• Support Staff: Established surgical and clinical support team
Practice Setting
• Inpatient and surgical call coverage
Requirements
• License: Active Arkansas medical license required
• Board Certification: Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery
• Background: Clean professional record required
• Experience: Demonstrated competency in core general surgery procedures
