Assignment Overview
· Livingston Regional Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board Eligible General Surgeon for call-only coverage during two December blocks. This is a beeper call assignment with a moderate callback rate and a manageable patient volume, supported by a team of four experienced RNs.

Call Ratio: 2–3
Callback Rate: ~40%
Response Time Requirement: Within 15 minutes
Average Consults per 24 Hours: 2–3
Average Patients Seen per 24 Hours: 1–2
Department Size: 14 inpatient beds
Support Staff: 4 Registered Nurses
Setting: Inpatient hospital coverage only
Procedures: Standard general surgery consults and interventions as needed
Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Active Tennessee medical license
Available for both December coverage blocks
Comfortable with solo call coverage in a rural hospital setting
Prior locums or small-hospital experience preferred
Logistics & Compensation

Travel & Lodging: Covered or reimbursed
Malpractice Insurance: Provided
Credentialing: Streamlined for short-term coverage
Nearest Airport: Nashville International (approx. 90 minutes by car)
24 Hr Call rate: $2000 (includes 4 hours patient care)
Call Back rate: $300 per hour
