Job description

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced FM/IM Physician to join our team at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry. This premium position offers the opportunity to provide primary care to adult patients in an inpatient facility with a focus on acute medical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver primary care services to adult patients based on their acute medical needs.
Manage a daily patient volume of 5 to 10 patients.
Collaborate with a team of 6 physicians and a full supporting staff of mid-levels and RN/LPN.
Utilize the AVATAR NX EMR system.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid MI state license
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
Clean background check

Interview Process:
Conducted via Teams by an interview panel

Orientation:
Includes training on the EMR system and an introduction to the facility and daily responsibilities
