North Carolina - Hospitalist

An 86 bed facility is looking for a hospitalist to join their team of six Physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers. This opportunity is a full time, 100% inpatient, employed position with a 12 hour shift schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. On average, the hospitalist will see 15-18 patients per shift. Procedures are a doctor’s preference. Some of the hospitalists like to do their own intubations, central lines, etc. However, if a physician doesn’t feel comfortable with those, back-up is available from ER physicians, Respiratory Techs, and Surgery.

It is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Summers and winters are typically mild due to the altitude and southern latitude. Tourism is a major industry in the county due to a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities including hiking, camping, mountain and road bicycling, horseback riding, waterskiing, boating, fishing, hunting. The University provides a wealth of cultural and educational opportunities. Asheville is only 45 minutes away by expressway/interstate and is one of
the top cultural destinations of the southeast.
