WASHINGTON STATE LOCUMS NEED !!!

Job description

THIS WILL BE AN ONGOING NEED BUT THE LOCUM MUST BE ABLE TO START BY WORKING MARCH 18-24 NIGHTS.
There will be a need for days and nights ongoing in April....


WILL ACCEPT ACTIVE IMLC
SOME KEY CAVEATS:
-Must be comfortable with Vent Management…and have case logs to prove competency within the last 12 months
-All other procedures are NOT required



Shift times-2 physicians on from 7a-7p and 1 physician on from 7p-7a -
Dates-Feb ongoing
Census-Average daily census is 15 per provider and nights average 6-8 admits
Daytime providers will alternate admissions
EMR-EPIC
ICU: ICU is open, no intensivist, vent management is expected.
REGARDING VENT MANAGEMENT - MUST HAVE CASE LOGS TO SUPPORT HAVING DONE VENT MANAGEMENT IN AT LEAST 6 OF THE LAST 12 MONTHS
Hospitalist will cover Code Blues
Locums hospitalists are expected to round, consult, admit and discharge patients. Attend multi disciplinary rounds (ICU in the morning and med surg in the evening). Work collaboratively in a team with our case managers. They will see a wide variety of patients including but not limited to sepsis, pancreatitis, CHF, COPD, respiratory failure on vent, and shock. Must be able to do vent management.
Speciality and sub speciality support includes general surgery, interventional radiology, orthopedic surgery, intermittent GI coverage, intermittent urology coverage, and intermittent podiatry coverage.
Staffing mix is physicians only for hospitalists but they will be working alongside the specialists noted above.
Currently have tele-stroke in ED, Tele-neurology and tele-NICU
