Medical Oncology
About this Opportunity
The Medical Director will be responsible for providing clinical oversight of the group and medical oncology program. In collaboration with the cancer program senior leadership team, the Medical Director will lead efforts to increase integration and alignment of medical oncology services. More specific responsibilities include:
Lead recruitment, retention, mentorship, quality, and growth management for physicians and APP
Represent medical oncology services across the system, both inpatient and outpatient, to other physician groups and to executive leadership of facilities and service lines
Be a major contributor to strategic initiatives for medical oncology
Act as the public face for general marketing, public events, and physician-group relations
Head efforts to integrate, align, and standardize operations
Lead quality and safety program for medical oncology
Ensure physician presence in all medical oncology leadership meetings, clinical decision making
Participate in the development of policies, procedures, continuing education programs, and training of providers and staff
Participate in budget planning and prioritization
Balanced Role: Flexible mix of clinical and administrative responsibilities.
The Medical Director will be employed and enjoy security with a not-for-profit health system. Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Candidates must be board-certified in medical oncology
Minimum of 7 years clinical experience
Previous leadership experience
Tennessee Medical License-eligible
