EEG TECHNOLOGIST
OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

Join a dedicated clinical team as an EEG Technologist, where you will perform diagnostic EEGs and support Neurologists and Neuro Technologists with EMGs, clinic visits, and other essential departmental operations. This role is ideal for a certified professional who excels in patient care, technical accuracy, and clinical observation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
DIAGNOSTIC TESTING: Prepare patients and equipment for examinations and perform high-quality EEGs according to laboratory standards.

CLINICAL SUPPORT: Assist Neuro Technologists with NCVs (Nerve Conduction Velocities) and other specialized clinical tasks.

PATIENT CARE: Explain testing procedures clearly to patients and their families, obtain accurate histories, and respond effectively to patient emergencies.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: Maintain equipment, adjust settings for accurate results, and demonstrate a deep understanding of neurology and the effects of medications on EEG results.

REPORTING: Produce comprehensive EEG reports with a strong emphasis on detailed clinical observations.

SAFETY & QUALITY: Recognize and eliminate artifacts during testing, perform routine activation procedures like hyperventilation, and follow strict infection control precautions.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in EEG and/or EMG.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Proven experience in EMG and general neurology.

CERTIFICATIONS: Active ABRET Certification and American Heart Association BLS are mandatory.

DOCUMENTATION: Updated work history, a skills checklist (current within 1 year) specific to EEG/EMG, and two completed supervisory reference forms.

RESIDENCY RESTRICTION: This position is not open to local candidates; applicants must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the site.
