Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Gynecology/Oncology Needed in San Francisco, California

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience in Gynecology/Oncology for a locum tenens position in California. This inpatient role involves managing post-operative patients with a focus on uterine, cervical, and ovarian cancers. The position requires a strong background in surgical oncology, with a preference for experience in administering chemotherapy. You’ll be working in a hospital setting, supported by RNs, MAs, and typically being the only APP on service at a time. The role includes post-op management, some inpatient chemo administration, and occasional wound care, with no OR or clinic time. The position begins on October 7, 2024, with a contract duration of 26 weeks. The patient load typically ranges from 10-12 patients per day, with the patient population spanning adolescents to geriatrics. EPIC is used for EMR.

Requirements:

Board Certification: Required (if PA, must have a Master's in PA Studies)
License: CA license required for NP; PA can license
Certifications: BLS required
Experience: 1-2 years of inpatient experience required; Gyn/Onc experience strongly preferred
