Aya Locums is seeking an experienced OBGYN Laborist to provide ongoing inpatient coverage at a California facility. This assignment offers 24-hour call coverage, a balanced patient volume, and the chance to practice full-scope obstetrics and gynecology within a supportive clinical environment.

• Start Date: June 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: 24-hour call coverage
• Shift Schedule: Standard scheduling with 12-hour and 24-hour shifts
• Night Shifts: 19:00 – 7:00 (24-hour call structure)
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30–60 days

• Support Staff: Medical Assistants (MAs)
• Patients per Shift: 10–15
• Beds in Department: 3
• EMR: Cerner
Clinical Responsibilities Include:
• Management of low-risk pregnancies
• FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
• OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation)
• Level I/screening ultrasounds (viability)
• Routine and complicated deliveries
• Vaginal deliveries, low forceps
• C-sections and surgical decision-making
• Breech deliveries, multiple births, abruptions
• VBAC management
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Office/minor gynecology (IUDs, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
• Open surgical gynecology
• Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation)
• Major operative procedures (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
• Laser certification required

• Certifications: BLS and PALS required
