OB Hospitalist needed in Colorado

Start Date: 05/19/2025
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Details: 8-10 shifts per month
Schedule: Monday-Friday 5p-7a; Saturday and Sunday 7a-5p
Work Details:
• Support staff: staffed 24/7 with attending physician and midwives, 24/7 anesthesia coverage, 2 CRNA dedicated to labor and delivery and 1 anes attending in house at all times.
• Amount of coverage needed per month: 8-10 shifts per month; typically sporadic, weekend coverage will be needed as well.
• Patients per day: approx 13 deliveries per day
• Patient population/age: primarily adult women, antepartum
• Department description: OB
• EMR: EPIC
• Hospital bed size: 550; labor and delivery unit is 15 beds with 3 operating rooms in PACU
• Broad skillset: vaginal deliveries, scheduled and emergency c-sections, familiarity with and being able to manage post-partum hemorrhage medically and surgically, heavy focus on OB side, ectopic pregnancy, D and C.

• Additional Info: aprox 400 deliveries per month; they do labor patients who have had prior c-sections; MFM consultation and ability to transfer stable patients to University of CO or Children’s hospital; Mixed model between attendings and midwives; High volume of medically and socially complex population.
Practice Setting:
• Hospital - Level I trauma center, Level 3 Nursery
Requirements:
• Board Certification: Yes, Obstetrics (will also consider Laborist)
• State license required: Yes, State of CO
• DEA: Yes
• CSR: No
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS
• Minimum experience required: 3 years required, however if candidate is interested in locums to perm would consider less.
Credentialing Timeframe: Approx 90 days for full privileges
