OB/GYN – 24-Hour Call-Only Locums in Southeast Georgia (Jan–Mar 2026)

Location:
Southeast Georgia | Community hospital in Vidalia area

Assignment Type:
• Locum Tenens – OB/GYN
• Inpatient, 24-hour in-house call only

Dates & Schedule:
• Start: January 2, 2026 (credentialing required)
• Ongoing blocks through at least March 2026
• Example blocks:
o Jan 2, 7:30 a – Jan 5, 7:30 a
o Jan 12, 7:30 a – Jan 14, 7:30 a
o Jan 22–23; Jan 30 – Feb 2
o Multiple additional 24-hr blocks in February and early March
• 24-hour in-house call, working with L&D on patient care and responding to OB/GYN needs from the ED and inpatient units.

Practice Description:
• ~70-bed regional community hospital with all private rooms, modern ORs, and a dedicated women’s pavilion.
• Established OB service line with childbirth education, breastfeeding support, and expanded newborn nursery capabilities.
• EMR: Meditech (with eCW in some areas).
• Support: Experienced RNs, L&D staff, and ED team.
• Focus is inpatient OB and emergent GYN – no scheduled clinic.

Typical Work & Volume:
• Full-scope OB call (deliveries, triage, ED consults, postpartum care).
• Emergent GYN as needed (based on hospital census).
• 24-hr shifts with on-site presence and collaboration with L&D nursing.

Requirements:
• Board-Certified OB/GYN.
• Active Georgia medical license (not able to license).
• Advanced life support and PALS certifications required.
• Ability to manage OB/GYN emergencies independently in a community setting.
• Clean professional history preferred; standard hospital credentialing (~90 days) with name-clear process.
