Job description

OB/GYN (Partnership) - Eastern NC
The Women's Clinic section is part of a 100 provider multi-specialty group. Our office is located just across the street from the Medical Center, a 900+ bed academic medical center that is a tertiary care center and the home of University's School of Medicine. The presence of a large neonatal ICU in the hospital allows our providers to do high risk as well as low risk obstetrics. We have a cordial and supportive relationship with the full-time University medical faculty, which includes sub specialists in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility. We have found that the easy availability of consultations with sub specialists has enhanced the quality of our practice. We have also found that it is much easier to stay up to date with changes in our specialty due to the ongoing interaction that we have with residents and medical students in
addition to the easy access to educational activities, such as the weekly grand rounds in OB-GYN. Call is shared equally with seven other physicians. For those interested in teaching residents, a Clinical position is available with the University School of Medicine.

It is a lovely college town with a population of about 85,000, located in the eastern coastal plain of North Carolina 80 miles from Raleigh. The economy and culture of the city are dominated by the presence of the University, a 28,000-student campus of the University system. The music and performing arts departments of the University are very strong, and every year there are numerous high quality musical and theatrical productions involving both University faculty and distinguished visiting performers.
