Work Details:
· Amount of coverage needed per month: 12-15 shifts per month
· Patients per day: 3-6
· Department description: The responsibilities will include inpatient coverage and triage, monitoring the progress of labor, conducting deliveries, performing surgical interventions when necessary, seeing emergency consultations for obstetrics and gynecology patients and referring or shipping other urogyn patients based on evaluation
Key Responsibilities:
Attend to obstetric emergencies and provide timely intervention during labor and delivery.
Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including prenatal, postpartum, and gynecologic examinations.
Perform deliveries, both vaginal and cesarean sections, as required, and provide immediate postpartum care. Take assigned and unassigned Emergency Dept. call for GYN and OB patients
Perform urgent and emergent gynecology consults, including surgical inventions for hospital patients.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, midwives, and anesthesiologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in patient education regarding prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, and general women's health.
Respond promptly to obstetric and gynecologic consultations, contributing to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Keep accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Stay updated on the latest advancements in obstetric and gynecologic medicine through continuous education and professional development.

Requirements:
· Board Certification: Required
· License required: OH license or IMLC
· Certifications required: BLS
· Minimum experience required: Proven experience in managing labor and delivery, including proficiency in both vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
