About the clinician's workday

The clinician will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic services during 24-hour call shifts managing approximately 750 births annually. Essential duties include inpatient obstetrics such as triage evaluations, labor management, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and sterilizations, along with gynecologic responsibilities including emergency consults and acute surgical care. The position requires managing procedures including limited obstetric ultrasounds, inductions, laceration repairs, operative vaginal deliveries, hemorrhage management, postpartum sterilizations, postplacental IUD placements, Nexplanon insertions, first-trimester procedures, and surgical management of ectopic pregnancies and other emergencies.
