OB/GYN Locum Tenens – High-Volume Practice with Resident Supervision
📍 Virginia | 6-Month Contract | 24-Hour In-House Call | VA License Required
We are currently seeking an experienced, Board-Certified OB/GYN for a 6-month locum tenens assignment at a busy, well-supported medical center in Virginia. This is a dynamic, high-volume position with resident supervision responsibilities and comprehensive OB/GYN call coverage.
Assignment Overview
Contract Length: 6 months
Shift Structure: 8 x 24-hour in-house call shifts per month
Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days
VA License Required: Must be active at submission

Hospital Size: 146-bed acute-care facility
EMR: Epic
Level II Nursery
Support Staff:
5 Board-Certified OB/GYNs
5 Advanced Clinical Practitioners
1 Certified Nurse Midwife
Full hospital support team (280+ medical staff across specialties)
Department Snapshot
Deliveries: 70–75 per month
Non-OB Surgeries: 20–25 per month
Practice Setting: Clinic + Hospital
Call Coverage Includes:
All OB services on Labor & Delivery
Unassigned OB/GYN call for the hospital
Resident Oversight: Required – Must be comfortable managing and supervising OB/GYN residents

Qualifications
Board Certification: OB/GYN (ABOG required)
Licensure: Active VA medical license required
DEA: Required
CSR: Required
Certifications Preferred: EFM, NRP, PALS
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
