Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (PACU) to join a hospital in New Orleans, LA. This role provides immediate post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures, ensuring safe recovery and stable transfer to the next level of care.

Qualifications
✔ Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
✔ Active Louisiana RN license and current BLS Certification
✔ At least 1 year of PACU, ICU, or critical care experience required
✔ Strong knowledge of airway management and post-anesthesia recovery care
✔ Experience with pain management, hemodynamic monitoring, and EMR documentation
✔ Ability to respond quickly to patient status changes
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Calm, decisive, and compassionate under pressure

Key Responsibilities
✔ Monitor patients immediately after surgery and anesthesia
✔ Assess airway, breathing, circulation, and vital signs
✔ Manage emergence from anesthesia and sedation recovery
✔ Administer medications for pain, nausea, and blood pressure control
✔ Identify and respond to post-operative complications
✔ Monitor surgical sites, drains, catheters, and wound care devices
✔ Communicate patient status with anesthesia and surgical teams
✔ Determine readiness for discharge using standardized recovery criteria
✔ Educate patients and families on post-op care instructions
✔ Document all assessments and interventions in the EMR
