We are seeking a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner for an urgent locum tenens assignment at a behavioral health treatment center in Georgia. The provider will conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits with medication management for adult patients in a residential and outpatient setting.
This is a rapid-start opportunity, with interviews happening immediately and a target start date of early next week. Preference is given to candidates double board certified in Psychiatry and Primary Care, though strong Primary Care candidates will be considered.
About the Facility
Recovery Center is a 24-hour residential treatment facility located in Ball Ground, offering both inpatient and outpatient services. The center provides a structured, abstinence-based recovery program supported by a multidisciplinary care team.
• Residential treatment facility with outpatient program
• Adult patient population (18+)
• Approximately 45 inpatient and 10 to 15 outpatient census
• EMR: BestNotes
• Support includes Medical Director and full nursing staff
Compensation:
• Pay rate: $120/hr
• Travel expenses reimbursed, including:
Mileage
Rental car
Hotel
Flight
• Malpractice covered
Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits
• Provide medication management for behavioral health conditions
• Manage approximately 8 to 10 patient encounters per day
• Treat both new and existing patients
• Work independently with support from Medical Director and nursing staff
• Oversee care coordination within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications:
• Board Certified Nurse Practitioner required
• Active DEA registration required
• BLS certification required
• Prefer dual certification in Psychiatry and Primary Care
• Primary Care candidates with behavioral health experience will be considered
• Must be comfortable working independently
Working Hours:
• Up to 20 hours per week
• Flexible scheduling
• No call required
