About the clinician's workday
The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric services to adult patients aged 18-98 years in a community mental health setting. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations for new patients requiring 60 minutes and managing follow-up appointments of 15-30 minutes duration. The clinician will treat patients with various conditions including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, PTSD, and paranoia. Documentation responsibilities include report writing with an 80/20 split between direct patient care and administrative duties using the EPIC EMR system. The position requires board certification in psychiatry with prescriptive authority and involves working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no call requirements.
