Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients
- Assess client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Conduct intake interviews and assessments to gather relevant information
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address client concerns
- Monitor client progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in mental health counseling
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling or a related field
- Valid state licensure as a Counselor (LGPC)
- Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health issues
- Familiarity with ICD-10 diagnostic codes and their application in behavioral health settings
- Strong understanding of motivational interviewing techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions
- Ability to provide gender issues counseling in a sensitive and inclusive manner
- Must carry your own insurance
- LGPCs receive free supervision as part of employment
