Mental Health Therapist
Location: Candor, NC | Salary: $60,000/year |
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 remote)

Responsibilities:
-Provide treatment for up to 40 male clients with substance use, trauma, and mental health diagnoses.
-Deliver individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based models (e.g., CBT, Seeking Safety, TF-CBT).
-Conduct assessments, including trauma screenings, suicide risk evaluations, and crisis interventions.
-Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with case management, education, and residential teams.
-Facilitate clinical groups on topics like substance use prevention, grief, and emotional regulation.
-Maintain clinical documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
-Serve as a liaison for clients receiving external mental health services.
-Participate in staff training, crisis response, and on-call rotation as needed.
Qualifications:
-Required: Licensure as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist (must maintain active license).
-Preferred: Experience with juvenile treatment populations, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care. Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
-Other: Must meet Eckerd’s auto insurance requirements and be able to drive for business purposes.
About Our Program
Eckerd Connects’ Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential Program provides a 4-6 month rehabilitative experience for adjudicated males (ages 13-17) referred by North Carolina’s Department of Public Safety. The program integrates education, behavioral health, and family counseling in a structured, strength-based setting to promote long-term success.
