🚨 URGENT: Psychologist Needed – State Mental Health Inpatient Facility
Location: Illinois based State Mental Health Inpatient Facility
Setting: Forensic | Medium Security
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: May 11th (earlier start available for strong candidates)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Psychologist to support a busy state-run inpatient mental health facility serving a forensic population. This is a structured, daytime role with strong interdisciplinary support and a predictable schedule.
Schedule & Volume
- 3–4 days per week, onsite
- 7.5 hours per day
- Typical hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Patient volume: 6–10 patients per day (average)
Clinical Focus
- Sexual Deviant population (experience required)
- Diagnostic assessments
- Treatment planning
- Risk assessments
Facility & Support
- Forensic Medium Security setting
- 24/7 onsite security
Support team includes:
- 1 Psychologist
- 12 Psychiatrists
- Clinical Director (direct report)
- Primary Care
- Dedicated Security staff
Onboarding & Commitment
- Orientation/Onboarding: 10 days
- Credentialing: 2 weeks to 1 month
- Minimum commitment: 6 months
- 1-year commitment preferred
- Strong interest in extension
