Full-time Rheumatologist Physician for Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

The Womack Rheumatology service aims to provide expert consultative healthcare services for adult patients 18 years and older suffering from a broad range of musculoskeletal, autoimmune, and systemic inflammatory disorders.

Qualifications:
-Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
-Board certified/board eligible in Rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
-Shall possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted state license to practice medicine in one of the 50 states in the United States.
-DEA, BLS, and efficiently use an Electronic Medical Record.

DUTIES
-The contract provider shall perform all procedures commonly performed by a Rheumatologist.
-Provide medical examination, care, and treatment to patients.
-Provide medical care and treatment of communicable diseases and/or injuries.
-Conserve the health of patients by application of diversified knowledge of preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic medical and surgical procedures.
-Seek advice of consultants when appropriate.
-Instruct and monitor other medical personnel in care and treatment of patients to include nontherapeutic services such as physical examinations.
-Initiate requests for tests, x-rays, and admissions to the medical treatment facility, as appropriate.
-Follow-up on abnormal reports. Abnormal x-ray and lab reports received on patients.
-Prescribe medications, as appropriate, in accordance with the privileges and MTF rules and regulations.
