Cardiothoracic Surgery NP - Pasadena, CA

Shift Details: 7a-5p
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Work Details:
· Support Staff: 3 MDs, 2 front office, 1 surgery scheduler, 2 medical assistants
· Amount of Coverage Needed per Month: Looking for PRN coverage to help with gaps and vacation coverage.
· Patients per day: 35-40/ week. Varies on day. Mondays are generally slower while Tuesdays are typically the busiest day
· Patient Population/Age: All ages
· Department Description: Outpatient clinic. Provider will be supporting 3 cardiac surgeons with pre-post op patient care. NP will autonomously perform sutures, wound care. No invasive or surgical procedures performed in clinic. This role will be 60% administrative and 40% clinical.
· EMR: EPIC
· Special Procedures: Wound care, suturing
· Skills Required: Prefer surgical experience and background with cardiothoracic surgery or other cardiac experience/surgical background. Extensive experience in another specialty *may* be considered if provider is adept in pre/post-op evaluations and minor clinical procedures mentioned above. Outpatient experience highly preferred
