Position Overview
• Specialty: Cardiothoracic Surgery

• Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital based
• Clinical Scope:
o Robust MitraClip and TAVR programs
o Thoracic and aortic repair
o Required inpatient consults and rounding
• Coverage Purpose: Interim CV inpatient coverage due to vacancy; permanent recruitment underway
• Monthly Coverage Expectation:
o Minimum 1 week per month, with ongoing need of approximately 20 inpatient days per month

Schedule and Coverage
• Open Coverage Dates:
o May 30 (7:00 AM) – June 10 (7:00 AM)
• Shift Structure:
o 24 hour non restrictive call, Sunday–Sunday
o In house availability required
• Response Expectations:
o Provider must be available for emergencies and inpatient needs
• Coverage Model:
o At least one full week of inpatient CV coverage per month required moving forward

Provider Requirements
• Board Certification: Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Licensure: Active Georgia license required in hand
• Experience Required:
o MitraClip and TAVR
o Thoracic and aortic surgical repair
• Staff Support:
o Hospital based RNs and Physician Assistants
