AZ Urology Locum Opportunity for 2026

Job description

Setting: 99-bed acute care hospital
Coverage: Clinic + OR + beeper call (nights), select 24-hr weekend blocks
EMR: Cerner
Start: January 26, 2026 (ongoing dates through May)

Why this assignment
• Consistent, pre-set blocks Jan → May (mix of clinic days with night call plus 24-hr weekend call).
• Manageable volumes: ~20 clinic pts/day; 10–15 procedures/week; 3–4 OR cases/day. Robotics not required.
• Streamlined onboarding (phone interview, ~30-day credentialing; Cerner orientation paid at hourly rate up to $215/hr).

Schedule (sample blocks)
• Jan 26–Feb 1, 2026: Mon–Fri 8a–5p + night beeper call (5p–8a); Sat–Sun 24-hr call.
• Feb 23–Mar 1 and Mar 23–29: Same pattern.
• Apr 1–5, 11–19 and May 16–17, 20–31: Mix of clinic + night call and 24-hr call days. (Additional single dates sprinkled in April/May.) Full date grid available on request.

Scope & team
• General urology: clinic, OR, inpatient consults.
• In-clinic vasectomy; infant circumcision outpatient (not required). No robotics.
• Support: 1 PA; medical assistants; no other on-site urology MDs on your days.

Requirements
• Urology: BC/BE.
• License: Active AZ or IMLC accepted; will consider licensing.
• DEA required. Min 1 year post-training experience. COVID/Flu vaccine with exemptions allowed.
