Urology – Weekend Call (Locums)

Job description

Type: 1099 Locum Tenens
Coverage: Weekend call, ongoing (1 weekend/month)
When: Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM (flexible on which weekend)
EMR: Cerner

Highlights
• Pure weekend call—protect your weekday schedule
• Steady consult volume (typ. 5–10/day Sat–Sun); low red tape
• Occasional urgent OR: stents, stones, clot evacuation, general urology cases
• Adult-only (18+); Level IV trauma center
• Quick start after credentialing (est. 45–60 days)

Requirements
• Board Certified in Urology
• Active WV license (IMLC welcome; hospital will license via IMLC only)
• DEA; BLS/ACLS
• Comfortable with general urology call and urgent cases

Responsibilities
• Inpatient consults and ED call coverage
• Perform urgent urologic procedures as needed (e.g., ureteral stents, cystoscopy for clot evacuation, stone management)
• Coordinate with hospitalists/ED; no resident coverage
